I am typing this sitting in the seppingan international airport, Balikpapan waiting for boarding call to my flight to Singapore and from there to India. I am going to miss Indonesia, where I felt like at home, where I have cycled more than 1600 kilometres, a country which is more unexplored than explored, where I was very happily satisfied with my work-life balance, and the list goes on and on and on…….

To work in Indonesia is one of the best of things to happen in my life. Living here destroyed my prejudice about the world, people and life.

I have gone to many places in Indonesia but could not explore karst caves in sangkulirang. You need time to things you want to do. I think it’s time to venture far out of my comfort zone. To miss things I wanted to do and having not done itches me.

Gua kombeng was near to the place where I stayed. Yet it took so long to get the information and by the time I have enough information I am leaving the country. I do not know whether I will come back in the future or not to this beautiful place.

Cycling in Sangatta local hills and forests, Sangatta-bontang cycling trips, and the cycling event at tenggarong are still fresh in my memory. The taste of numerous varieties of food I ate are like still felt in my mouth. Memories of a lifetime cannot be written in a single post and thus my expat life comes to an end with boarding the flight out of Indonesia, my second home country.
